Apolipoprotein A1 is negatively associated with male papillary thyroid cancer patients: a cross-sectional study of single academic center in China

Abstract Background Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is the most common type of and incidence PTC has continued to increase over past decades. Many studies have shown that obesity an independent risk factor for obese patients tend a relative larger tumor size higher grade stage. Obesity associated with disordered lipid metabolism relationship between serum lipids remains unclear. Therefore, this study aimed investigate association level PTC. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 1018 diagnosed treated in our hospital, all these cases were first had complete clinical information including ultrasound reports before surgery, (CHOL, TG, HDL-c, LDL-c, Apo-A1, Apo-B, Apo-E) results, surgical records pathological reports. Results None markers whole cohort female group. In male group, on crude analysis, Apo-A1 showed marginally size, [OR = 0.158 (0.021–1.777)], p 0.072. After adjusting age multifocality, significant 0.126 (0.016–0.974)], 0.047. This become more apparent young subgroup, 0.051 (0.005–0.497)], 0.009. CHOL, Apo-E did not show size. As LNM, neither group nor found be any biomarkers. Conclusion incidences continues increase, findings demonstrated negatively apoA-1 patients, which may contribute further investigation concerning diagnosing preventing cancer.
